Youth Sports Training-


Here at the APC we have two classes for young athletes called:

Total Athlete Training (TAT) for ages 10-14

Advanced Athlete Development (AAD) for ages 15+

These programs are designed by Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists to enchane athletic development. Sessions focus on mastery of movement mechanics as well as developing strength & speed necessary for athletes to improve their sport specific skills. These classes/programs are 12 week comprehensive programs that work on the following; acceleration, maximal velocity, multidirectional movement, dynamic flexibility, plyometrics, olympic lift techniques and more.

Our training methodology and programming provides for a progression within each workout and a progression from week to week. Each training session is different and is designed to maximize results without ever overtraining. Small sized classes insure quality instruction and feedback.

Testing

Each athlete in either of the two programs has the privilege of testing their 20 yd dash, vertical jump, pro-agility, kneeling powerball toss, and yo-yo intermittent recovery test.

Testing is the first Thursday of every month from 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM of the first, fourth, eighth, and twelfth weeks of the athletes package. Please see one of our Sports Performance Coaches to sign up for testing.

Progress Report

In addition, the Sports Performance Coaches will provide each athlete a progress report in the form of a Skills Mastery handout every four weeks. This includes a checklist of exercises that the athlete has been able effectively demonstrate as well as a list of those that need further improvement. This four week progress report will help to insure that each athlete has an understanding of what they need to work on and what are their strengths and weaknesses.
